The Manifesto 都会宣言

Many people have been asking us when we're going to finally put up the pictures from our party, Back to Basics, where we basically unveiled our autumn/winter 2006/07 collection. Well the wonderful guys from Shanghaiist, our favourite city blog, came along to the event and snapped a few pictures. You don't see the most exciting stuff that happened because they came a little late, but we promise you more juicy stuff VERY soon!

Calling all comrades in Shanghai! This Saturday, Manifesto joins city blog Shanghaiist.com (of which yours truly is a contributor) and streetwear brand Eno for a Happy Hour! Eno is a Shanghai-based lifestyle brand that collaborates with artists across China to create limited edition products. And they've got a very handsome store to go along with that fabulous concept!

When: Saturday, March 31 (4 pm to ???)

Where: ENO, 139-23 Changle Lu near Chengdu Nan Lu (长乐路139-23号 近成都南路)

Live Music: The Shotgun SheRas, an excellent all-girl country and bluegrass band from south of the border (yes, Hong Kong). Check out this video. Hear more of their music at MySpace. See photos of the band at their website. This is a great chance to see a fun and talented band in an intimate setting. And NO COVER CHARGE. That's right, it's free. The band will start at 5:30 pm..

Shopping: ENO and MANifesto will be offering some great discounts on selected items to party-goers on their outerwear and underwear.

Drinking: Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be served, and they'll be cheap. For every 20 kuai beer you buy, you get a 20 kuai coupon good toward the purchase of ENO merchandise. So, drink heavily!

Eating: Great food from the wonderful guys at iiiit!at great prices! The menu is as follows:

• Mexican Tacos with Salsa – 10 RMB
• Hot Dogs – 15 RMB
• ½ Ham & Cheese Sandwich with Salad – 15 RMB
• ½ Latin Chicken Sandwich with Salad – 15 RMB
• Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies – 15 RMB
• Brownies – 15 RMB

Live T-shirt Printing: T-shirts featuring the ENO-infused Shanghaiist skyline logo (see attached flyer) will be printed on demand at the store.

And more: The party will continue all night, with more great music and no doubt a surprise or two.

This Saturday looks like it's going to be a busy day for all of us! After the Eno/Shanghaiist Happy Hour, join us for a bit of art back at Shanghai Studio, which has just undergone a massive makeover!

This multi-dimensional show, "From Bangkok to Shanghai", is Shanghai Studio's ninth art event and will feature the works of Be Takerng Pattanopas (Bangkok), videos by Jung-Chul Hur (Korea) and blow-ups by our very own Hanspeter Ammann (Switzerland).

Kylie is back, and she's brought her fabulousness to China for the launch of a H&M collection inspired by her! Check out the queues at the H&M store 9 days after the party.
